The true value of corn farmers isn’t something that can be measured, weighed or counted.
That’s because the traditions and values they represent are as much a part of our state as the soil in which they grow their crops. The sense of pride and commitment they feel — to the land, their families, and their communities — are why they are Nebraska corn farmers.
And why we’re proud to celebrate them.

Get to Know Nebraska’s Corn Farmers
Fail Small, Learn Big
John Krohn, a fifth-generation farmer from Albion, grows corn and soybeans on the land his family has farmed for over a century. He works to get every drop of rain into the ground, embraces learning without fear of failure and carries a deep dedication to the land, his family’s legacy and the future of Nebraska farming.
Teaching My Daughters to Dream Big
Although she grew up in Omaha, Morgan Wrich discovered her love for farming on her grandparents’ farm. Today, she raises corn and soybeans near Nelson, with her husband and two daughters, showing them the value of hard work, community and leaving a legacy for future generations.
The Field that Fuels Education
Growing up and attending a rural school near Holdrege, Logan Reed grew up knowing students from kindergarten to eighth grade, no matter his age. He desired other students to have these same experiences, which brought about the idea of a private school, which opened 51 weeks later.
Rooted in Resilience
As Pat and Lori Harding raise their family in Cambridge, they are focused on growing strong kids and crops. As multigenerational farmers, they understand the time and perseverance it takes to be successful, while teaching their kids how to love the land. From community involvement to training future farmers, their mindset shows the future of their family and town.
Generations of Grit
For the past 147 years, Nate Goertzen’s family in Henderson has been farming the same ground. As farming has evolved and expanded, they are always enhancing their farm to be the best it can be. By being the best steward of what they’re given, three generations are working together to be successful.
